What to expect on open day | your subject sessions explained
What is a subject session? And how can you make the most of the experience?
Your subject session is right at the heart of your open day experience. You will be invited to attend one or two of our specialist subject sessions.
Your subject talk is an unmissable opportunity to learn more about the course you’re applying for, meet the tutors and ask the questions you’ve been itching to ask.
People tend to be quite quiet when the session hosts first ask for questions… but once one question is asked it usually leads to another and another.
As well as giving you a flavour of the course, the subject session will also include details about the modules on offer. Subject leaders will welcome questions about how the course is structured… so don’t be afraid to ask.
Alongside this there may be a mock seminar experience for you to get a true feel of studying with us, and what our lessons are like on a daily basis. These sessions really do give you a taste of the real thing.
The sessions take place at 10.10 am and 12.50 pm and last for about 1.5 hours.
Here are some examples of some of our subject talks to give you a feel for what will be offered on the day. For more information please access our open day guide.
