Walking routes: A few minutes’ walk from the town centre, the campus is located on the banks of the River Nene in Northampton’s Enterprise Zone, where global brands sit alongside a huge number of thriving small businesses.

Getting around by train: Northampton rail station is only an hour ride from Euston or Birmingham New Street giving easy access to transfers to most major cities. Good news too, the station is only a 15–20 minute walk from our new campus, making it really easy for you to pop home to get your washing done.

On Your bike: We have a cycle hire scheme hub on campus; as well as hubs close to other University locations where you’ll be able to rent a bike by the hour or for the whole day. If you want to bring your bike, we have bike parking on campus.

Let’s Park and Ride

We love our town so want to reduce pollution and congestion, so there will be no student parking at our campus. Instead we are offering Park and Ride where you can park for free and ride the bus to university or town for just £1 return.

Location: Claret Car Park and the Saints Car Park, Edgar Mobbs Way, Sixfields

Number of parking spaces: Approx. 1800

Open to: University staff and students and Northampton County Council Staff

Cost: Free to park and you can ride the bus for £1 return. Students continuing to study at Avenue from September 2018 will now receive free inter-campus bus travel.

How to pay: Uno app, pay on bus or buy a monthly pass

Bus frequency: minimum every 10 to 12.5 minutes at peak time Monday to Friday, 15 minutes Saturday and 30 minutes Sunday.

Route: West — east shuttle service including the rail station, NCC Angel Square and Waterside. There will also be a route linking Bassett Lowke, Newton (Avenue) and Boughton Green Road (Park) halls.

Opening Hours: at least 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday (evening and weekend service information to follow).

Full security: on-site security and CCTV system.

Ultra-modern buses: luxury interiors, free Wi-Fi and USB charging at every seat.

Real-time information: See when your next bus is going to arrive.
