Marian Ansaaku is passionate about caring for people, so the University of Northampton’s highly respected Learning Disability Nursing degree was an obvious choice.

“After looking at other universities, I chose the University of Northampton as they are committed to helping students get more than just a good degree — they offer a variety of opportunities and teaching methods to help improve employability. Studying at university allowed me to move away from home and become an independent person.”

“Throughout my course, I have had the opportunity to go out on placement in different settings, and have utilised various forms of advanced healthcare technology. I have developed critical thinking and problem solving skills which will help me in the future to manage and delegate client care.”

“I would advise all applicants to gain as much experience as possible in working with people with learning disabilities before applying for the course. My experience at the University of Northampton has been an amazing one. I feel the University has moulded me to become very competent in my academic life, and shaped me as a person in general.”
