May 2016 Alumni Reunion in Milton Keynes round-up:
On Saturday 21 May, we invited our alumni to join us for a relaxed reunion in the centre of Milton Keynes at Missoula Montana Bar and Grill.
The heavens opened on Buckinghamshire but that didn’t deter our spirits. Missoula laid on a wonderful spread of food and drink and we chatted the night away. Alumni from all walks of life and a variety of years attended the event, we relived tales of their time at university and shared stories about their experiences since. I met such inspirational people that I can’t wait to meet again.
Bongiwe Pilime, a 2015 graduate decided that it is time for her to share her years of experience with current students. Bongiwe has worked as a Nurse all her life and completed her Professional Practice degree last year. Before she left the event, Bongiwe turned to me and said:
“It’s time I give back to students, I have so much knowledge to share that they can learn from.”
Now, that’s what I call inspirational.
