You guys obviously met at UoN but can you tell us a little bit more, was it love at first sight?

Caroline: We actually met through a circle of friends playing a game of Monopoly of all things! He had to leave the game early for work the following day so he gave me his houses as I was losing the game. That’s when I knew I definitely liked him.

Sam: There was definitely a spark, but still had doubts at the time as it seemed to good to be true.

What course did you study and when did you graduate?

Caroline: We both graduated in the summer of 2016, he was studying BA (Hons) Illustration and I was just down the corridor on the BA (Hons) Acting course, so we bumped into each other quite a lot!

The very happy couple.

At what point did you realise he/she is the one?

Caroline: Through time and after a year of going out with each other. Usually after that time the honeymoon phase begins to fade, but it didn’t. And he still makes me laugh and smile. It’s nice that we can still be goofy together.

Sam: When Caroline jumped in for a hug even though it was the second time we had just meet after a dog walk with our uni friends.

What lessons in life and love did you learn in your time studying with us?

Caroline: That no matter what, there’s always time to spend time with one another. University can have it’s stresses, it was nice we could understand what we were going through so talking to each other really helped!

Sam: I learned to be happy on my own and not needing to seek affection, mainly as I was usually the one being let down. Caroline changed my whole perspective on love & life.

They are so cute, we can’t handle it.

What is your best university of Northampton story/ memory?

Caroline: There’s so many! Winter time was amazing, like going to the German market and seeing fireworks. We will never forget those memories!

Sam: Discovering a ‘hidden’ lake by the industrial area, it made me feel more connected with my south roots as I’m from Portsmouth and I’ve been by the sea side my whole life. Caroline coming dressed up as a snow man for a friends dress up party that no one really else really took part in so she really stood out which she does naturally without trying .

What are your favourite things about each other?

Caroline: He’s so funny. He’ll be laid back in public but behind closed doors he makes me laugh so hard that I cry.

Sam: There are too many but I will list a few, her dimples on her cheeks, her little freckles, the way she makes this little cute noises as she yawns & hiccups and that cheeky face she gives me when she’s eat loads of my food.I love her eyes. And how she gets shy when I compliment her!

The engagement.

What are your plans for the future?

Caroline: Well, we’ve moved in together and now we are engaged were going to save up and start planning the big day!

Sam: Marriage, children and hopefully a business together in some kind of order.

Do you have a UoN love story to share, if so we would love to hear from you. Tweet us. #UoN
