If it weren’t for the UK…
I have now been in the UK, here at the University of Northampton for quite a few months, and honestly these have been the most wonderful as well as difficult months of my life. I have been through ups and downs but as I look back I can’t begin to explain what an amazing experience it has been.
1. Understood how much UK has to offer when it comes to weekend getaway options:
Birmingham, Manchester, Oxford, Leicester, and of course London.
2. Seen the BEAUTIFUL Old Trafford Stadium
If you haven’t already you have to visit the home of one of the best football clubs in the world. It was actually one of the best experiences I could have ever had!
3. Tried seaweed
Weird thing to put on the list, I know. I am not a fan of the same, but hey I did get to try it!
4. Had chips and beans for lunch
Again not a fan, but you don’t have many options when you are a lazy vegetarian.
5. Learned Salsa
For someone who had always wanted to learn the dance form since ages, finally getting a chance to and that too where I least expected it was an opportunity I had to grab.
6. Realised my potential to cook
Although lazy and a vegetarian, I do love to eat amazing food and thus I had to explore my cooking skills and turns out they aren’t bad at all.
7. Met some amazing people
I just realised how lucky I have been to meet so many wonderful people here, too bad I only understood this recently when my friends are all going back home and when we were promising each other to be in touch.
8. Understood my capabilities and abilities
Each lecture that I have been to, each tutor that I have talked to, each activity that I have been a part of, each job role that I have performed have all enhanced my personality and helped me realise my potential and what I am capable of doing.
