April Fools: Branded uniforms for University of Northampton Students
Research, conducted by the Federation Of Open Learning has suggested that:
“Students’ academic performance increases when wearing a uniform. It brings about a sense of pride, increases buy in to the university and gives students a sense of belonging by creating an identity for the local community.
Uniforms can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpen focus on work and make lectures a more serious environment, therefore allowing students to perform better academically.”
The University of Northampton will be presenting the designs for the new student uniform next week. This will take effect from September 2016 where all students will be required to wear the new uniform. The cost of this to students is look set to be around £150 each.
