7 Reasons a Student’s life is like a Zombie Apocalypse
Students are survivors, who else could live off Super Noodles and toast?
- A bite of freshers flu.
You will probably get this at some point while at University. If you are lucky enough to not catch the virus, don’t feel like you’re missing out! You’ll probably get it in 2nd or 3rd year :D Everyone turns eventually.
2. Resources are scarce.
All food is now a commodity. It’s a harsh world out there, people will steal your bread and use your Nando’s sauce without even asking. Be sure to keep count of your slices of bread and seedless grapes.. on another note, why do seeded grapes even exist anymore?!
3. Every encounter could be your last.
People are crazy. You will learn this at University. You will meet some very strange people at 4am in a kebab shop. Be careful but remember that sometimes the weirdo’s are the most fun!
4. Food becomes a currency.
You can pay friends back with food instead of money while at Uni. It’s the unwritten rule of the student. Feeding other students may also make them come back again like a stray dog, so watch out.
5. You have to think of silly games to keep yourself entertained.
Keeping yourself entertained on a budget can be difficult. But as long as you’re with your pals you will undoubtedly have a good time. Cheap game ideas include, Wink Murder, I Spy, Twister (CLASSIC) and Noughts and Crosses.
6. Feeling like death.
Some days you will wake up and feel like a Zombie. Wishing you could forget the night before, but you just can’t, and no amount of paracetamol will help. These are the days which make a person. So get up, get dressed and power through. You’re a soldier in a forgotten wasteland and can achieve anything!
7. The squad.
These are an interesting bunch of people you’ve picked up along the way and would do anything for. Once you’ve found your squad you are literally unstoppable.
Remember you are all warriors and have basically survived an apocalypse already. Uni will be doddle so get out there and seize the day #CarpeDiem
