Yes!! It’s the summer, finally you can kick back in those flip-flops, chill outside and ditch the jumpers. While you are finishing off that 6th ice lolly of the day take a look at ways you can make the most of your summer break:

1) Take some day trips

Some of our marketing team had an amazing day out to see GFW18 in London!

You may not be able to afford that super luxury holiday in the Caribbean, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t get out and about in good old Britain. We can’t guarantee good weather but we do have sea-side towns, historical cities and nature a’plenty. So pack a picnic, grab some friends and head out.

2) Get volunteering

The Change maker hub can be an excellent place to point in the right direction!

This may sound a lot like work, and lets face it who wants that over summer? But, volunteering needs to be looked at as a great way to build your CV, gain vital skills and meet some amazing people. Have a look in your local area or get in touch with Changemaker to see what is happening over the summer that you can get involved in.

3) New Hobbies

One of our social media star’s has the perfect summer planned, horse riding!

Whilst you have some spare time on your hands why not learn something new, take up that hobby that you have always thought was fun but haven’t had a chance to do.

4) Work, Work, Work

Some of our lovely team hard at work!

Use these summer days to cram in some extra hours at your part time job or look into getting one if you haven’t already. Yes, I understand this is not a fun suggestion but think of all that money you can save ready for freshers.

5) Get prepared

We are will be prepping Waterside over our summer!

If you have some re-sits then use the summer to get prepared for your exams. Or you can use some of the time to read up ready for next year’s classes.

6) Relax

We all deserve a time to sit on a lawn of blossom…

Most importantly take some time to just chill out, after all you have earned it.

What will you be up to this summer? Share you summer pics with us on Instagram.
