1) You meet friends for LIFE

Kitchen friends become life long friends

Flat sharing is a great way to meet people from all walks of life, people who you would not normally have the opportunity to get to know. Sharing experiences and creating new memories with your flatmates is what halls life is all about.

2. You’re part of a community.

Sharing lol’s over breakfast

There are many halls of residences to choose from here but no matter which one you end up in there will no doubt be a great sense of community. After all you have one major thing in common, where you live. You will probably end up being friends with not only people in your flat but with those in the whole block.

3. Someone is always around for a chat and a cuppa.

Pop the kettle on

You will never get lonely, with approx 6- 10 people living in each flat there is usually always someone around to grab a cuppa and have a chat with. Which is very handy when you need a break from the monster of an essay you have been working on.

4. There are cleaners.

We can’t promise Cinderella but…

Okay, so they won’t pick up your pants off the floor like your mum does but they will keep the communal areas clean.

5. All the bills are included.

Living in halls can be a money saver

The price you pay for rent includes your water, heating, electric and WiFi! Making it easier to manage your money.

6. Parties!

Yay! Parrrtttyyyyy !

Some of the best nights of uni life can happen in a kitchen of a flat in a pre-drinks session. Make sure you have a pack of cards handy for games, they will get ruined and half will go missing but it is all part of the fun.

7. Location, location, location.

Our new central location is ideal

Our halls of residences are located in a few different locations, we have some at Waterside Campus (10 minute walk from town), Park Campus, Avenue Campus and we have our St Johns Halls (5 minute walk from town). If you are in town you can roll out of bed to the shops/pubs or if you are on campus then you can roll out of bed to your lectures (In pjs if you wish)!

9. Flat dinners

Who wants to be the Jamie Oliver of the flat?

Not talking about pancakes! One person always cooks the most, one person always rocks up hungover and scoffs all the roasties and one person gets lumbered with the washing up. But hey, flat dinners are still amazing. They make you feel like you are home with your family, just with more outrageous chat.

10. Random nights

Popcorn and Pals, what more can you want?

Spending most nights with your flatmates can mean that occasionally you will have one of those magical, random nights. This could mean a sleepover in the hallway, board game night or group bake off session (what ever takes your fancy) these are the nights you will remember and will provide the best in jokes.
